Warhammer Fantasy Battle 8th Edition .
  • It’s the biggest book GW have ever released with more context, background, artwork and maps.  528 Page Hardcover $143.00 worth of book!
  • The rulebook showcases the full splendour of Warhammer – with extensive miniatures, photography, full colour backgrounds and never before seen artwork.
  • Bigger units are rewarded with the HORDE rule and more attacks.
  • Models strike in initiative order which rewards higher points cost units.
  • Deadlier shooting – units can shoot in two ranks, increasing the effectiveness of archers.
  • Bloodier - Units fight from the first 2 ranks in close combat (3 for horde units), making battles faster and more bloody, but keeping the advantages of spears.
  • Completely new magic system that makes magic more destructive, but also more dangerous to the caster. Irresistible Force causes a miscast!
  • The introduction of active scenery rules, with special bonuses for occupying certain scenery, makes the battlefield a far more dangerous and exciting place.
  • Less restrictive rules for selecting an army means you can field more of the cooler and specialised units in your collection and huge core units become possible (e.g. up to 25% of points on rare units).
  • All the current Warhammer Army books are still valid and usable with Warhammer.
