Oct 5October Review

file_6_96

October results have been crunched and once again Scott Pilgrim takes the top spot in Mk1′s web and store sale charts.  I wouldn’t be surprised if SP’s reign rolls into November/December especially with the very cool new slipcase collection of all 6 volumes arriving this week.  Other strong sellers in store were the Invincible volumes, MegatokoWalking Dead, DC’s Blackest Night hardcovers and Grant Morrision’s Batman RIP collection.  In the webstore as mentioned Scott Pilgrim vol 06 took the top spot accompanied by the latest DARK TOWER hardcover and recent Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and Astonishing X-men releases.  Buffy and the NZ graphic novel HICKSVILLE made up the rest of the top 5.

Looking outside of Mk1′s tried & trusted graphic novels to up and coming new releases pushing for a spot on the website -  AVATAR the LAST AIRBENDER: ART of the ANIMATED SERIES hardcover never stays on shelf long – Mike Mignola’s AMAZING SCREW ON HEAD & OTHER CURIOUS OBJECTS has also been in demand – and the Batman Heart of Hush book looks like expanding Mk1′s already strong online catalogue of Bat books.   Here’s the full list of notable releases doing well:
