Our Cover galleries are far more than a snapshot of what our new release comic shelves look like – click on each cover for more information and in some cases multi page previews! But wait there’s more – if you sign up with comixology you can pull individual comics, subscribe to whole mini series or ongoing titles, and participate in Comixology’s lively comic forums.

There’s been a little bit of confusion over how the online system works. A pull list is a list of all the titles that an individual customer wants “pulled” aside from each comic shipment. Essentially what is on offer is a chance for customers to directly adjust the pull list that Mk1 uses as we unpack each and every comic shipment. A comixology login enables you to add a comic (or subscribe to a comic series) within the comixology website. Mk1 receives a summary of all the latest pull list additions, deletions and subscriptions every day – this enables me to increase my orders to make sure I have enough comics on hand upon release. Once the shipment arrives, I can generate an up to the minute list of all subscribers for the freshly arrived comics. The comics are filed away and await either your pickup instore, or next mail order shipment.
If you are a previous Mk1 subscriber – simply follow the steps below to sign up with comixology – once I receive your new account notification I will transfer the subscription information I have on hand and you can adjust, delete and add as you see fit. There is no compulsion to use the new system – you can carry on emailing your requests to the same email address you always have!
Signing up is easy – follow the steps below.
Follow this link and apply for a comixology user name – no charge to do so!
Once you are all confirmed go to Mark One’s Comixology page – here’s the link – and push the Connect button on the left hand side of the screen (making sure you are logged in first).
That’s it – from now on you can select individual titles and Mark One will receive your order via comixology automatically. You can select individual issues (by pushing the “Pull” button) or subscribe to whole series or mini series (by pushing the “subscribe” button).
Checklist of things to do once you have been confirmed as a Mk1 linked comixology subscriber:
1.Check your subscription info here.
2.Set your preferred comixology email options here. You will receive an arrivals summary from comixology each week – approximatly 5 days ahead of the shipment arriving in NZ. That means there’s still time to make alterations!
3.If you are wanting your comics shipped to you via MK1′s no charge for freight “widely praised” mail order service – let me know – we will discuss payment options and shipment trigger events, dates or titles. Email chris@mk1.co.nz
4.Got an Ipod Touch or Iphone? Make sure you have the latest comixology applications – digital comics, collection information and much more. Learn about that here.
5.Update your page here and tell the world what your favourite comic read is here!
The comixology site is best used in conjunction with our own cover galleries to manage subscriptions and future orders – it can be used to request older items from back catalogues but this would be limited to releases since they started operating and the very best sellers of the various publishers backlist. I’ll always respond with availability and a quote. Best port of call for older releases is an email to chris@mk1.co.nz.
